AFFILIATE AGREEMENT FOR CHARTNOTE, INC

The term of this agreement will begin upon creating an affiliate profile on Chartnote.

There are a few rules about our affiliate program you should know about. No “gotchas” here, just some terms to keep everyone happy.

• Self-referrals are not allowed.
• Abuse or gaming will result in having your account banned.
• No search engine ads (especially on branded terms or domain names), Facebook ads or other ads that would compete with our own marketing and cause potential confusion for customers.
• No ads that link to our website or anything similar that would compete with our own paid marketing and drive up our costs and potentially cause confusion.
• No pretending to be acting on behalf of us (ie. as an employee).
• We reserve the right to change the Terms of Service for our affiliate program at any time.

We reserve the right to terminate your affiliate account for violation of any of the rules at our sole discretion. Commissions generated by mechanisms that are in violation of our Terms of Service will not be paid or owed.

Our program is for new Chartnote Personal and Teams subscription accounts purchased on https://chartnote.com. Orders for Upgrades, and purchases through the App Store are excluded from this program.

COMMISSIONS

Commission associated with order refunds are automatically stopped. Order refunds occur when a customer requests a refund for an order, or they dispute a charge with their bank, and the funds are returned to the customer.

An action locking period is the time between when an action occurs and when it is approved or marked as owed to an affiliate. Action locking and payout periods are standardized to synchronize all client affiliate accounts’ funding. All actions happening in a given month are locked 90 days. Once the action locking period ends, affiliate commissions are paid.

We will pay out your affiliate commissions once your balance owing hits $100.

FTC COMPLIANCE

You are required to disclose your affiliate relationship on any promotion for Chartnote. This includes but is not limited to blog posts, videos, emails, social media, and website pages. Your audience must understand you could earn commissions if they click your links. This disclosure statement should be clear and concise, stating that Chartnote is compensating you for your review or endorsement. If you received the product for free from Chartnote for review, this also must be clearly stated in your disclosure.

Some specific examples that our affiliate management team will seek out when providing audits of your endorsements include but are not limited to: to:

• Disclosures must be made as close as possible to the claims.
• Disclosures should be placed above the fold; scrolling should not be necessary to find the disclosure. (e.g. Disclosure should be visible before the jump).
• For Image-heavy platforms, such as Pinterest, Instagram Stories, Snapchat, etc., #ad should be on the image or the first image in a series. On video platforms, such as YouTube, verbal disclosure within the video as well as text disclosure in the description is sufficient.
• Pop-up disclosures are prohibited.
• Social media posts must include proper disclosure which may include hashtags such as #ad, #advertisement, and #sponsored. Hashtags such as #sp, #spon, #affiliate or #aff are NOT acceptable. Forms such as Ad, (Ad), //Ad// are acceptable on Facebook, as is natural language disclosure, if it’s clear and concise. Eg: This post does contain an affiliate link, which means if you purchase after clicking the link I may receive compensation.
